The padded waist belt distributes weight evenly, reducing pressure on your shoulders and offering excellent lower back support—ideal for longer use.
Secure and reassuring
Integrated leg loops help keep your baby safely positioned and close to you at all times.
Your Amya Carrier’s back panel stretches to support your baby’s spine by imitating its natural, curved C shape. It keeps your baby in a hip-healthy M position, keeping their knees up above their bottom and level with their hips. When using the front outward carry position, your baby’s knees should be at a 90° to ensure they are in the optimum ergonomic position.
Your baby’s head should be close enough to kiss without needing to stoop, with their hips in the hip-friendly M position and their spine in the C shape, More information about body positions and shapes can be found in our user guide. Specially designed padding helps redistribute the weight away from your neck, shoulders and back. A well-padded waist belt perfectly supports your lower back and provides optimal lumbar support.
Begin that special connection with your baby with the (newborn) front inward carry position from birth until 3 years.Designed to give maximum support to their neck, the front inward carry position keeps your baby closest of all. Specially developed to allow the neck support to be rolled inside to let them cuddle in to feel safe and protected from Day 1. Once they are around 6 months old and can hold their head upright, the front outward carry position is perfect for around 20 minutes at a time to let them see the world face on. The back inward carry position has been the go-to position for centuries and can be used from 6 months to give your child a view over your shoulder.
Once your baby grows to 50 cm and weighs 3.2 kg, you can begin your adventures with the Amya Carrier. If you can see half their ear, then they are at the right height but ensure they are in the hip-healthy M position with their spine supported in the curved C shape while positioning your baby’s bottom correctly in the carrier.
Your comfort is paramount and the Amya Carrier has been designed to ensure this. Having your baby in the correct position to provide the best weight distribution is the first step. The waist belt and the shoulder straps can be tightened or loosened from the front or back as you walk to give more support when you need it.
The safety of your children is at the front of everything we do, and all materials used in CYBEX products undergo stringent testing and all meet the highest standards.
Once your baby can hold their head up independently and become more curious of their surroundings, usually between 4 and 6 months old, they can be carried in the front outward carry position. Please remember that they should only stay in this position for around 20 minutes.
The sternum strap is used to improve the integrity of the structure and helps to distribute the weight away from your shoulders when the shoulder straps are parallel.
By reducing the circumference of the leg openings, the leg loops provide support for smaller babies. Once they are too tight for your baby, you should then stop using them.
If the buckle buttons were accidentally pressed, this elastic loop ensures the waist belt stays secure and keeps your child safe.
To keep your baby safe and every journey as comfortable as possible for both the baby and the caregiver, the shoulder straps should always be kept parallel to each other.
Designed to keep your baby safe but still allow for smooth access for caregivers, you simply need to push both buttons and slide them up. Slightly raising your baby’s bottom as you do this will make the whole process easier.
Yes, it is possible and recommended. Once seated, loosen the shoulder straps to allow the baby access. Please remember to position your baby correctly again afterwards.
Intuitive elasticated fabric contracts and stretches automatically to give your baby a snug fit from birth until they are 3 years old.
